A protective dog stands guard while her favorite stuffed animal gets wash. We all have that one plush toy we swore we couldn’t live without. It could be a stuffed bear, a blanket, or even a book. As long as these were within our reach, we felt secure and comfortable enough to face the day.
A sweet little pup named Olivia felt the same way with her favorite toy. The moment her human mom gave her a stuffed horse, it was love at first sight. She and the stuffed toy were inseparable and she was completely protective of her best friend.
Olivia didn’t like losing sight of her beloved horsey. When Olivia’s mom, Natascha Nielsen, decided Horsey had to take a much-needed bath, she expected the pup to be pretty anxious about it.
Sure enough, Olivia wasn’t pleased when she saw her best friend through into the washing machine. She waited patiently enough as she stared at her horsey spinning around while it gets cleaned. She was not excited about being separated from her toy.
Natascha observed the pup’s body language with amusement. Olivia even tried to rescue her toy, probably thinking it needed help from the vigorous shaking inside the evil machine. Nonstop barking didn’t seem to help, as she watched helplessly as Horsey was seemingly trapped inside the machine.
When it was obvious that it would take time for Horsey to get out of the terrible washer, Olivia decided to safeguard her other toys just in case. Natascha laughed when she found the protective dog keeping a watchful eye on her mom, afraid that the same thing might happen to her remaining toys.
After several minutes, Horsey was finally cleaned and released from the machine’s clutches. Olivia was beyond ecstatic when her mom finally returned her stuffed horse.
This time, the clever and protective dog kept her best friend by her side, just in case her mom suddenly put it back inside the infernal washing machine again.
