Marie and Ricky saw Kong’s heartbreaking story, which made them want to adopt her more. It turns out that Tina of the Korean K9 Rescue rescued Kong from a dog meat trade in South Korea.
Decision to Rescue a Korean Canine
Marie shared that she did not hesitate to contact Tina about adopting Kong. Despite knowing that Kong was still en route to America. The couple knew that Kong would be more on the fearful side because of how traumatic her past was. But that did not stop them from wanting to have Kong because they know they can give everything Kong needs.
Tina saw how much Marie wanted to have Kong, so she and her fellow rescue workers decided to accept Marie and Ricky’s adoption application. Tina and Kong traveled together from South Korea to New Jersey together.
She(Tina) recalled that Kong was so scared after arriving in her new owner’s hometown in New Jersey. Also she said that Kong kept shaking in her arms, which made her decide to foster Kong for a couple of days to help him get accustomed to his new surroundings.
Tina brought Kong to Marie and Ricky as soon as she saw that Kong managed to come out of her shell. Tina shared that Kong was a bit scared after meeting her new fur parents, but everything went well as soon as Marie and Ricky gave Kong some doggy treats.
